  • A citizen of India
  • Subject of Bhutan
  • Subject of Nepal
  • A candidate from Tibet who migrated to India before 1st January 1962 to permanently settle in India.
  • An Indian citizen who has migrated to India for permanently settling here from countries like Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar),  Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East Africa, Ethiopia, and Vietnam.

LIC AAO and AE Age Limit Criteria 01-01-23

To apply for LIC AAO and AE 2023, the candidate must fulfill this criterion -

  1. The minimum age should have completed 21 years.
  2. The maximum age should not be more than 30 years
  3. This means that candidates must have been born neither earlier than 02.02.1990 and not late than 01.02.1999 both days inclusive only are eligible.

LIC AAO 2023 Exam Pattern:

LIC AAO comprises two exams. To get a call for an interview, candidates must pass both the Prelims and the Mains examinations. Candidates who pass the preliminary exam are shortlisted for the mains exam, and the final selection is made on the basis of the interview.

LIC AAO 2023 Preliminary Exam Pattern:

The preliminary test consists of 100 multiple-choice questions and is conducted via computer. Candidates must select the proper option from the list of options. The prelims exam is 60 minutes long in total.

LIC AAO and AE Educational Qualification 2023

The LIC has established a minimum educational qualification for LIC AAO, and candidates must meet the LIC AAO educational qualification eligibility to be considered for the posts. Here are some important guidelines to be followed by the applicants, they must be in possession of the below-mentioned degrees. Below is the LIC AAO educational qualification for all posts released under the notification.

A. For AE (Civil): B.Tech/B.E. (Civil) from an AICTE recognized Indian University/Institution. The candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of working experience in the planning and execution of multi-storied building projects with all required infrastructure

B. For AE (Electrical) B.Tech/B.E. (Electrical) from an AICTE recognized Indian University/Institution. The candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of working experience in the planning and execution of multi-storied building projects with all required infrastructure

C. For Assistant ArchitectB. Arch. from a recognized Indian University/Institution. The candidate should be registered with the Council of Architecture and possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in designing all types of buildings with allied services. The candidate should also be well versed with green building design requirements and the application of AutoCAD software and/or similar type software

D. For AE (Structural): M. Tech / M.E. (Structural) from an AICTE recognized Indian University/ Institution. Candidate should be well versed with the structural design of high-rise buildings with the foundation system. Candidates applying for the post must possess a minimum of one 1 hands-on experience in the area.

E. For AE (MEP engineers): B. Tech./ B.E. (Mechanical/ Electrical) from an AICTE recognized Indian University/Institution. The candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in planning and execution of Plumbing / Piping / HVAC system, Lift & Fire Fighting System, Electrical Sub-station in multi-storied buildings.

F. For AAO (Chartered Accountant) Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized Indian University/Institution and Candidates should have passed Final Examination of Institute of Chartered Accountant and completion of Articles as presented by Institute of Chartered Accountant. The candidate should be an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. Candidates should provide their membership number and the same will be verified with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

G. For AAO (Actuarial) Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized Indian University/Institution and Candidates should have compulsorily passed 6 or more papers of the examination conducted by the Institute of Actuaries of India / Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, UK. as on the date of eligibility i.e. 01-01-23

H. For AAO (Legal): Bachelor’s degree in Law or LLM from a recognized Indian University/Institution. Three years of Bar experience is essential.

I. For AAO (Rajbhasha): Post Graduate Master’s Degree in Hindi/Hindi translation with English as one of the subjects at Bachelor’s Degree level OR Post-Graduate Master’s Degree in English with Hindi as one of the subjects at Bachelor’s degree level OR Post-Graduate Master’s Degree in Sanskrit with English and Hindi as subjects at Bachelor’s degree level.

J. For AAO (IT): Graduation degree in Engineering (Computer Science, IT or Electronics), or MCA or MSC (Computer Science) from a recognized Indian University/ Institution.
