LIC AAO 2023 Exam Pattern:

LIC AAO comprises two exams. To get a call for an interview, candidates must pass both the Prelims and the Mains examinations. Candidates who pass the preliminary exam are shortlisted for the mains exam, and the final selection is made on the basis of the interview.

LIC AAO 2023 Preliminary Exam Pattern:

The preliminary test consists of 100 multiple-choice questions and is conducted via computer. Candidates must select the proper option from the list of options. The prelims exam is 60 minutes long in total.

LIC AAO 2023 Main Exam Pattern:

Candidates who score above the cutoff in the LIC AAO Prelims Exam are allowed to complete the mains exam. The mains exam is an online exam with 120 objective questions and 2 descriptive questions that must be completed in 2 hours and 30 minutes.

LIC AAO & AE Probation Period and Posting Locations

• A newly recruited AAO & AE will be on probation for one year from the date he/she joins the organization. This probation is expandable up to 2 years based on the performance.
• Candidates have to serve a period of a minimum of 4 years in LIC including a probation period.
• In case a candidate fails to serve the minimum serving period, then he/she will be liable to pay damages of ? 500, 000/-only (Five Lakhs only) or the sum of an amount the Executive Director (Personnel) may prescribe from time to time.
• Selected candidates can be posted anywhere across India.
• Most of the vacancies are in the mofussil branches of LIC. As such, after selection and successful completion of training, candidates will be posted for a minimum period of three years in mofussil branches outside their home zones.

The LIC has established a minimum educational qualification for LIC AAO, and candidates must meet the LIC AAO educational qualification eligibility to be considered for the posts. A. For AE (Civil): B.Tech/B.E. (Civil) from an AICTE recognized Indian University/Institution. The candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of working experience in the planning and execution of multi-storied building projects with all required infrastructure

B. For AE (Electrical) : B.Tech/B.E. (Electrical) from an AICTE recognized Indian University/Institution. The candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of working experience in the planning and execution of multi-storied building projects with all required infrastructure

C. For Assistant Architect: B. Arch. from a recognized Indian University/Institution. The candidate should be registered with the Council of Architecture and possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in designing all types of buildings with allied services. The candidate should also be well versed with green building design requirements and the application of AutoCAD software and/or similar type software

D. For AE (Structural): M. Tech / M.E. (Structural) from an AICTE recognized Indian University/ Institution. Candidate should be well versed with the structural design of high-rise buildings with the foundation system. Candidates applying for the post must possess a minimum of one 1 hands-on experience in the area.

E. For AE (MEP engineers): B. Tech./ B.E. (Mechanical/ Electrical) from an AICTE recognized Indian University/Institution. The candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in planning and execution of Plumbing / Piping / HVAC system, Lift & Fire Fighting System, Electrical Sub-station in multi-storied buildings.

F. For AAO (Chartered Accountant) - Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized Indian University/Institution and Candidates should have passed Final Examination of Institute of Chartered Accountant and completion of Articles as presented by Institute of Chartered Accountant. The candidate should be an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. Candidates should provide their membership number and the same will be verified with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

G. For AAO (Actuarial) - Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized Indian University/Institution and Candidates should have compulsorily passed 6 or more papers of the examination conducted by the Institute of Actuaries of India / Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, UK. as on the date of eligibility i.e. 01-01-23

H. For AAO (Legal): Bachelor’s degree in Law or LLM from a recognized Indian University/Institution. Three years of Bar experience is essential.

I. For AAO (Rajbhasha): Post Graduate Master’s Degree in Hindi/Hindi translation with English as one of the subjects at Bachelor’s Degree level OR Post-Graduate Master’s Degree in English with Hindi as one of the subjects at Bachelor’s degree level OR Post-Graduate Master’s Degree in Sanskrit with English and Hindi as subjects at Bachelor’s degree level.

J. For AAO (IT): Graduation degree in Engineering (Computer Science, IT or Electronics), or MCA or MSC (Computer Science) from a recognized Indian University/ Institution.
