NRA CET for 12th Pass

NRA CET exam pattern 2024 will be divided into two parts-A and B. Union Minister  said that the first-ever online Common Eligibility Test (CET) for filling up non-gazetted posts will be conducted by year-mid. The Union Minister informed that the National Recruitment Agency (NRA) under DoPT is gearing up to conduct the NRA CET 2024 May-June. There will be at least one exam centre in each district of the country. Initially the test will be conducted in 12 languages including Hindi and English. Later on all the languages mentioned in the 8th Schedule of the Constitution will be added. The detailed exam schedule for NRA CET 2024 will be announced soon.

NRA CET Exam for 12th Pass Aspirants

NRA CET will be conducted for posts and vacancies released under SSC, RRB, and IBPS. Some of the Tier-I exams that NRA will conduct in the coming months include SSC CGL, SSC CHSL, SSC GD, SSC CPO, SSC MTS, RRB Group-D, RRB NTPC, IBPS PO, and IBPS Clerk.

NRA CET 10+2th Level Selection Process

NRA CET is all set to replace the Tier 1/preliminary exams for SSC, RRB, and IBPS government jobs. The first-ever NRA CET is expected to be held in 2024 by year mid.

The selection process of the various government posts through the Common Eligibility Test for 10+2th is as follows:

• First of all, you have to qualify the NRA CET exam for 10+2th.
• After qualifying the exam, you will have to appear for the next round of the selection process conducted by SSC and RRB.

What is NRA CET?

The full form of NRA CET is National Recruitment Agency Common Eligibility Test (NRA CET). The NRA is a autonomous society under the Societies Act thay will work as an independent, professional and specialist organisation. The plan to set up NRA was proposed by the Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. NRA CET is a screening/preliminary exam that will be conducted by the newly approved NRA to shortlist candidates for various Group-B and C non-technical and non-gazetted posts. Candidates will now have to appear for one single entrance exam, i.e, CET, for various Government Exams such as Bank, SSC & Railways.

NRA CET for 12th Pass: Important Points for Aspirants

• There is no limit for the number of attempts to exam for candidates. The only criterion is to be eligible for the exam. 
• The NRA conducts CET Exam for 12th pass students across India, and the question paper is in 12 different languages.
• The scores of the exam, conducted twice a year, is valid for 3 consecutive years. 
• Candidates may answer the exam in a centre close to their home, as NRA also has exam centres in remote locations and districts.
• Note that the exam has negative markings.

The eligibility requirements for NRA CET for 12th pass students are expected to be announced in the official notification which will be released soon. In the following section, you'll find the NRA CET age limit and educational qualification requirements. However, please note that the following are the expected NRA CET eligibility criteria:

NRA CET for 12th Pass Age Limit 

After the official NRA CET notification is issued, the eligibility criteria for NRA CET for 12th pass-outs will be announced. There will be no minimum age requirement for candidates to apply for NRA CET. However, candidates' upper age limit for NRA CET will be limited. The candidates belonging to different categories and communities will be granted age relaxations by the National Recruitment Agency.

Multiple entrance tests and preliminary examination rounds for SSC, RRB, and IBPS examinations will be reduced with the launch of the National Recruitment Agency Common Entrance Test for 12th pass students.

NRA CET for 12th Pass Selection Process 2024

There is a complete selection process that will be followed in recruiting the 12th-grade students for various Governmental organizations. We have listed the detailed steps of the process below. NRA CET is going to start the examination process in May-June 2024

1. NRA CET: The National Recruitment Agency Common Entrance Examination (NRA CET) for class 12th students will be an entrance exam for SSC, RRB recruitment. The NRA CET will be worth 200 marks and will consist of 100 questions.
2. Phase -II Examination: The NRA CET for the 12th grade is merely a substitute for various preliminary exams. Candidates who meet the NRA CET cut-off will be eligible to take phase – II of the test, which will be specific to jobs provided by the organizations. For eg  SSC candidates will have to take the Tier-II written exam.
3. Interview: Candidates who reach the NRA CET cut-off will be invited to a personal interview round by the respective departments in the SSC, RRB, and IBPS sectors of the Government. Candidates will be judged on their technical and practical experience.
4. Document Verification: Candidates who pass all three stages of the NRA CET will then further be called for documents verification. The following certificates will be required from the shortlisted candidates:
   • Birth Certificate
   • Caste Certificate (if applicable)
   • Class 10th Marksheet
   • Class 12th Marksheet
