Mock Test and Revision Strategy

Mock tests are indispensable tools for exam preparation. Which enables the candidates to simulate exam like situations and identify their areas of improvement. After this, time can be allocated for targeted modifications to address weak areas.

• How to Approach Mock Tests Effectively

  • Start with Topic-Wise Tests
  • Move to Sectional Tests
  • Full-Length Mock Tests (FLMTs)
  • Analyze Each Mock Test Thoroughly

•  Review your performance immediately: after completing a test. Identify your mistakes, the time taken for each section, and the questions you couldn’t answer.
•  Make a mistake notebook: Document the mistakes and their correct solutions. Revise this regularly so you don’t repeat the same errors.
• Track progress: Keep track of your scores and aim to constantly improve. Focus on improving your accuracy before trying to improve your speed.

Revision Strategy

Mock tests help in practice, but revision is very important to remember what you have studied. A good revision strategy ensures that you do not forget important concepts when they are needed the most.

• Divide Revision into Phases

Divide your revision into multiple phases to ensure you cover the entire syllabus systematically:

  • Phase 1: After completing a topic, revise it thoroughly within 2-3 days to ensure retention.
  • Phase 2: After completing a subject, revise the entire subject again after 7-10 days.
  • Phase 3: As the exam date approaches, do a quick revision of all topics in the final 15-20 days.

This multi-phase revision ensures long-term retention and reduces the chances of forgetting important topics.
